Caracas – June 03, 2021. – Four teams from the fourth cohort of Technovation Girls Venezuela represent our country in the semifinals of the great global competition.
The girls will represent our country in the semifinals of the global technology competition Technovation Girls.

After the first round of evaluation, we present the Venezuelan mobile applications that are providing innovative solutions and also solutions to local problem in their communities:
Alert Driver: Led by Emily Palacios, Patricia Fernades, Sarah Bracamonte and Maria Jose Rodriguez. The App seeks to provide drivers and pedestrians with information and security about what is happening in their cities or communities, so they can be aware of any situation in their surroundings. The App also promotes awareness concerning traffic signals in order to reduce accidents. And offers daily driving tips.
All for Me: Represented by Wuinmelys Puerta, Gaudy Cardoza, Stephany Mendoza and Yoliandris Geraldi. It´s a mobile App created to help people who suffer from gender-based violence using tools like an emergency button for immediate help, and the Violentometer, which is a tool to prevent and measure levels of abuse.
Khalon: was designed by Abby Prieto, Luisana Argotty, Sofía Machado and Alexandra Nuñez. It is a mobile App developed to accompany and guide people who suffer from eating disorders (ED). And also can assist users on their way to recovery and overcoming this disorder. The App offers support to family members and friends of people with theseconditions.
Med + Care: was designed by Clarissa Garcia, KaterinGarcia, Franshesca Ortiz, Mariangel Rodriguez and Sofia Pecchio. It is a 24/7 telemedicine application that promotes access to medicine to Venezuelan citizens, through the creation of a platform that gives users access to online medical appointments while they stay at home. It also allows the acquisition of medicines at affordable prices, while keeping you up to date on the latest medical news and advances. It also allows users access to financial aid. They can fill out a form, that team members will use to organize a GoFundMe campaign to raise the funds needed for treatment.
The Regional Ambassador for Technovation Girls in Venezuela and President of Impact Hub Caracas, Claudia Valladares, pointed out that “in the next few days the finalists and regional winners will be announced”.
Now, these young ladies continue to advance in thecompetition, hopefully to be among the 12 finalist or among the 10 regional winners, which will be announced in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, the Coordinator of this program, María Alejandra Hernández, highlighted the work carried out by the young ladies, the teachers and the group of mentors -who, free of charge and on a voluntary basis- accompanied the participants in this process.

For four consecutive years, Impact Hub Caracas, under the sponsorship of Total Energies, has carried out this social program that aims to train future entrepreneurs, businesswomen and leaders from vulnerable sectors of Venezuela. To train these young girls in the world of technological entrepreneurship through the design of mobile applications.
