For the seventh consecutive year, Impact Hub Caracas held the Technovation Girls competition in Venezuela. Its mission is to promote technological entrepreneurship in girls between the ages of 16 and 18 through the development of a mobile application.
The Technovation Girls program is the world’s largest global competition in tech entrepreneurship for girls, running in over 100 countries. Its purpose is to promote interest in STEM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and thus contribute to achieving gender equality. The participating teams have the support of mentors and specialized teachers, who will voluntarily accompany them throughout the process and execution of the program.
During 14 weeks, the participants have the opportunity to take coding classes, business plan, marketing plans and project presentation to finally show their mobile application in front of a specialized jury in our Regional Pitch. If chosen, they will have the opportunity to travel to San Francisco, California to participate in the world competition where the winning team will be determined.
